About the club
Born from a city
shaped by whisky
Elgin has always been at the heart of Scotch whisky. From the visionary pagoda rooftops designed by local architect Charles Doig - a shape now synonymous with distilleries the world over - to the ancient cathedral that has stood watch over this city for centuries, Elgin's heritage runs deep.
The Elgin Whisky Club was founded to honour that legacy whilst looking forward. We believe the world of whisky should be open to everyone - curious beginners and seasoned enthusiasts alike. No gatekeeping. No elitism. Just great drams and genuine conversation.
Based in the capital of Speyside, we gather regularly to taste, explore, and learn - guided by a shared love of what this remarkable region produces.
Speyside Heritage
We're rooted in one of the world's great whisky regions, home to more distilleries per square mile than anywhere else on earth.

Guided by Craft
Every session is curated with care, exploring provenance, production, and the sensory stories behind each whisky on the table.
Inclusive by Nature
Whisky is for everyone. Our events are welcoming, relaxed, and deliberately free from the jargon and gatekeeping that can put people off.
Community First
Built around real connection. A space to meet fellow enthusiasts, share discoveries, and enjoy the ritual of a well-poured dram.
